Purpose & Mission

The mission of Sufism is to transform the human soul through love, knowledge, and inner purification into a vessel of divine presence and mercy.

The mission of Sufism, its ultimate aim and purpose, can be summarized as the inner realization of divine truth and the transformation of the human soul. While rooted entirely inIslam, Sufism focuses on the spiritual depth of the faith, guiding individuals from outward practice to inward truth.

To Attain Closeness (Qurb) and Love (‘Ishq) of God

Goal: The central mission is to draw near to God through love, devotion, and purification.

Sufis seek: Not just to obey God outwardly, but to experience His presence inwardly—to love Him with the heart, not just serve Him with the body.

“I did not create jinn and mankind except to worship Me.” (Qur’an 51:56)
Sufis interpret “worship” as deep intimacy and love with the Divine.

To Purify the Soul (Tazkiyah al-Nafs)

Sufism works to cleanse the ego (nafs) from traits like pride, envy, greed, and hatred.

This inner purification helps the heart become a mirror reflecting divine light.

“Die before you die” — a famous Sufi saying, meaning: Kill the ego before physical death, so you can truly live. Sufism help people surrendering before Allah.

To Cultivate a Life of Compassion, Service, and Humility

A Sufi’s transformation should reflect in their actions: serving others, showing mercy, and living with humility.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the perfect model for Sufis—not just in rituals, but in character.

To Awaken the Heart (Qalb)

The mission of Sufism is to move religion from the mind to the heart—to awaken a deep inner awareness (taqwa) and love that fuels sincere worship.

The heart, in Sufi terms, is the seat of divine awareness.

To Be a Beacon of Peace and Unity

Sufism often emphasizes universal values—love, tolerance, and unity.

While firmly rooted in Islam, many Sufis believe divine love transcends divisions, leading them to foster interfaith respect and coexistence.

To Maintain a Living Chain of Spiritual Transmission (Silsilah)

A mission of Sufism is to preserve and transmit spiritual knowledge through living teachers connected in an unbroken chain back to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

It’s not about abandoning the outer practice of Islam, but deepening it, so that the soul doesn’t just perform religion but becomes it.

Hazrat Khwaja Muhammad Nabi Raza Shah (Dada Miyan) travelled extensively in his life spreading the message of Allah and His messenger (PBUH). Dada Miyan travelled to the places which were very remote and connected with the people who were far away from Shariat and Tariqat. Dada Miyan with his spiritual power brought those people into the realm of sufism and made them virtuous person by purifying their hear and soul.

Present Sajjadanashin Hazrat Khwaja Muhammad Sabahat Hassan Shah Maddezillahulaali is carrying the message of Dada Miyan and sufism to everywhere. People, who love sufism, want to enlighten their heart with the glory of Allah and His messenger (PBUH) take bayat in his hands and become the member of sufi community.
